We took a short boat ride over to Colonia (three hours by boat from Buenos Aries) – just to have a look around. It was a lovely and sunny day and a breath of fresh air compared to the big city vibe of Buenos Aries. After a short bus ride “showing us the sights” we settled down to wandering the cobblestone streets, looking for a place for lunch.
We found a wonderful little place that provided wine tasters and served meat and cheese platters – one for me, the other for Laurence – the best of both worlds.
Although it was a short trip, Uruaguay definitely seems to be a place that requires some more exploring – perhaps next time we are down these ways.
